POSH Compliance

The POSH Act, 2013, applies to every organisation with 10 or more employees. But compliance goes well beyond framing a policy. A policy no one has read. An internal committee that has never actually met. An annual report filed without anyone understanding why. These are the gaps I help organisations close.

I work with organisations across the full compliance picture: policy drafting, Internal Committee constitution, employee training, annual reporting, and serving as the appointed External Member.

Workplace sexual harassment extends beyond physical conduct. Any kind of preferential or detrimental treatment or implied or explicit threats affecting a woman's present or future employment also fall within the scope of the Act and require proper redressal.

01

POSH Policy Drafting

Most POSH policies are copy-pasted from templates written for someone else's organisation. I draft and review policies built around how your workplace actually operates, not a generic compliance framework.

02

Internal Committee (IC) Formation

Constituting an internal committee means more than filling seats. I assist with IC formation to ensure the Committee is structured correctly under the Act and actually knows what to do when a complaint comes in.

03

POSH Training for Employees

Training is a statutory obligation, but it doesn't have to feel like one. I conduct POSH awareness sessions for employees and leadership teams, designed to build genuine understanding rather than tick a compliance box.

04

POSH Audit & POSH Annual Report Filing

Compliance gaps are almost always invisible until a complaint surfaces. I review existing frameworks, audit compliance, identify what's missing, and assist with the preparation and filing of the statutory Annual Report.

05

Act as a POSH External Member

The external member's role is to keep inquiry proceedings independent and legally sound. I serve as an appointed external member on internal committees, bringing legal knowledge to the process while maintaining confidentiality, procedural fairness, and full compliance with the Act. Appointments are for a period of three years. The appointment stands for a three-year period, and the Committee is expected to include an external member with legal knowledge or a legal background.

I also act as an appointed external member on internal committees, providing independent guidance during inquiry proceedings while maintaining confidentiality, procedural fairness, and act compliance.

02

Contract Drafting & Review

Most contract disputes aren't about bad faith. They're about ambiguity: what wasn't written down, what was assumed, what two people understood differently. I draft and review contracts to close those gaps before they become arguments.

My practice covers NDAs, employment contracts, shareholders' agreements, consultancy agreements, and other commercial contracts. Every agreement is drafted around the actual commercial understanding between the parties: plain language, legally sound, and enforceable.

03

Legal Notice Drafting

A legal notice, sent at the right time, can do in two weeks what litigation takes two years to achieve. I draft legal notices and advise on non-litigation strategy for disputes where resolution outside a courtroom is still possible.

I draft legal notices for demand disputes, employment matters, consumer complaints, contractual issues, and recovery. Each notice states the legal position and the specific relief sought, without ambiguity.

My practice includes legal notice drafting in Bhopal & advisory assistance in non-litigation matters across India, depending on the nature and jurisdiction of the dispute.
